Every week Barry picks a plant that he wants to show off. Week commencing 02/09/24 is:

Nandina ‘Obsessed’

Nandina ‘Obsessed’ otherwise known as Heavenly Bamboo, is a superb compact evergreen shrub.

It produces lance-shaped leaves which initially come out fiery-red, before transitioning into a dark green as it matures.

In summer it produces clusters of small white flowers, but it’s the brilliant foliage colouring that is the main attraction.

It’s a great addition to the garden if you are looking for all-year-round interest.
