Barry is one of Caulders Directors and is a brilliant expert on all things to do with plants 🪴
Every week Barry picks a plant that he wants to show off. The week commencing 02/10/23 is:
Skimmia jap. reevesiana
Skimmia jap. reevesiana is a compact evergreen shrub with long slender dark green leaves and a dome shaped habit.
In the spring it produces clusters of lightly fragrant, small white/pink flowers. These flowers will then produce amazing bright red berries in the Autumn that last well into the Winter.
Ideally grown in a shady spot of the garden in a pot or container 🍁
